About VitalSend

VitalSend is a file transfer service designed for situations where persistence itself is a risk.

Files are encrypted before upload, can be accessed exactly once, and are automatically destroyed thereafter. The service is intentionally unsuitable for collaboration, archiving, retries, or shared access. It is built for rare but critical transfers where continued existence of a file is undesirable.

Design limits and responsibility

VitalSend operates under strict limitations by design:

• We do not retain transfer logs or historical event data.
• We cannot inspect, reconstruct, or verify past transfers.
• We do not provide recovery, retries, or delivery guarantees.

If a transfer fails, we refund the payment so the sender can retry. This is not a support limitation, but a deliberate consequence of how the system is built. Investigation would violate the guarantees of the service.

Messages are read daily by a human. We do not retain logs or investigate past transfers.
